What makes this particularly occasion a happier one is to be able to make it memorable for the birthday gal, and more so, when it was all part of a well-planned surprise by a sweet daughter.

It will be a mango sponge cake with mango custard, covered with mango cookies. Mango is the keyword here!
Onto the baking on the morning of the surprise...what an exciting start to the day!
As i was quite in a rush, i did not manage to take the work-in-progress photos. But here it is in phases of almost completion...
